Un cine merecedor del reconocimiento mayor en los principales eventos de la cinematografIa mundial. Y en ese marco recibimos con austeridad y esperanza al cine del mundo. Quienes concebimos al cine como una industria cultural, ubicamos este Festival en el mismo contexto.
Nuestro pals, tan conmovido, entiende la importancia de valorar alma y cuerpo como un todo: Cultura y NaciOn, cine y trabajo, creatividad y producciOn, en el marco de un mundo globalizado en el que renunciamos a ser meros espectadores. El Festival que realizamos es al mismo tiempo patrimonio de los argentinos y escenario universal.
The TV screens from all around the world had showed images of Argentina on the last months. Painfull images that most of the times represents the deep conmotion that our society is getting trough. They also showed images of our cinema. A cinema that is a top award-deserver in the major events of the world cinematography. A cinema that, even getting trough the deep crisis that Argentina and its people are suffering, is a living symbol of the possibilities of reconstruction and material and cultural rebirth of our society.
And in that situation we welcome world cinema with austerity and hope. We not hide our reality, we assume it with responsibility, like the Festival, because we think in it as a commitment with our country and its strained community, and from that there, like a link to other cultures and their cinemas.
The ones who conceive the cinema as a cultural industry, we place the Festival in the very same context. Our country, so shocked, understands the importance of soul and body union, everything as one thing: Culture and Nation, cinema and work, creativity and production, all together in a globalized world in which we renounce to be just simple watchers.
